ABIE France Past Events 2006

FESTIVAL INTERCELTIQUE DE LORIENT
ANNÉE DE L'AUSTRALIE


Pour sa 36ème édition, le Festival Interceltique de Lorient, qui met à l'honneur les musique et culture celtes, a invité l'Australie à participer, en tant que 'Pays à l'honneur' en 2006, afin de montrer notamment la manière dont les traditions celtes ont interagi et fusionné avec les autres influences culturelles, multiples, de l'Australie, comme par exemple celles des communautés aborigènes.

La présence australienne au FIL cette année, ce sera :

_ Une 'Grande Nuit de l'Australie', le samedi 29 juillet ; événement musical qui retracera l'histoire de l'Australie ;
_ Un pavillon australien de 600m, situé au coeur du festival, et qui abritera une scène, un pub inspiré de l'outback australien, un restaurant proposant des spécialités culinaires australiennes, et de nombreux stands destinés à offrir aux visiteurs une présentation complète de l'Australie.
_ Une exposition d'art australien de Lockhart River (Queensland), intitulée 'Histoires de Terre et Mer', exposée dans les locaux de la Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Lorient.
_ Une sélection des grands succès du cinéma australien dans les salles du cinéma de Lorient et à la Médiathèque.
